Synopsis - Sample
'Whatever have .you done to make you so afraid?' he asked. 'It was because I wasn't well,' said the frog. 'I always tell lies when I'm not well. Or is it that I always feel unwell when I tell lies? I just don't know anymore.' 'What a pickle,' said Pentecost. 'Never mind. If I see this snake, I promise I won't tell him I saw you. It's the least I can do, even though you did call me a thick mouse,' 'I did not,' said the frog indignantly. 'Yes you did,' replied the mouse. 'And you called me a twit.' '1 did not,' said the frog stoutly. Pentecost began to get angry. 'And I suppose a snake with orange ear muffs isn't chasing you at all?' 'What snake?' said the frog. His head emerged once more. Pentecost recoiled from such ugliness. 'Do you always lie like this?1 asked the mouse. 'You distinctly said that a snake with orange ear muffs was chasing you,' 'I said no such thing,' repeated the frog. 'It's all in your imagination. All I said was good morning. Can't one say good morning without having one's words twisted?'
