Mick,
I'd like to be able to claim that I intended that :)
I like the stark contrast in the two types of imagery, the clash yet go together
Best

Mick,
thanks for taking the time to comment - really do appreciate it and the feedback.
I agreee with you absolutely, the wood has that bleached bone look about it.
It's also not soft and rotten - just dead

Tupholme is a great place to take picture, I wish I lived nearer so I could go at the drop of a hat and catch the light
Best

Maybe its my unusual visualisation process at work here Rod - but I see an abstract representation of the face of Adolph Hitler created by the lingerie and pose of the model. In that same instant, The Night of the Long Knives sprang fittingly to mind!

Something almost pagan and foreboding about this picture Rod. The lower portion of the tree conjures up images of a rams head stripped down to the neck of flesh and left to bleach in the sun. The upper darker area - the neck and head of an ostrich contorted in pain. The ominous cloud formations give the whole image an eerie quality.

I had similar feelings yesterday- sat in the car watching the missus outside taking photos of Tupholme Abbey. An electrical storm was fast approaching and Julie was silhouetted against the rising ground and the canvas of dark clouds. It gave me the shivers and I shouted to her to hurry up and get back in the car....Spooky !!
